GTAR and West Volusia Honors MFRMLS President and Director

We are proud to announce that two members—Carlos A. Fuentes and Melody Hall—currently serving on your MFRMLS Board of Directors were awarded "REALTOR® of the Year" at their respective local associations.

Carlos A. Fuentes, 2009-2010 MFRMLS President, was recognized at the Greater Tampa Association of REALTORS® Annual Directors and Officers Installation Banquet on December 10, 2009. Carlos is a past-president of GTAR, is a board member for Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County and has served as a director for GTAR, FAR and NAR. Other NAR posts included the President's Liaison to Panama, NAR Regional Coordinator for North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Carlos also has a long history of serving on numerous committees.

With a career in commercial real estate spanning more than two decades, Carlos has garnered much experience as a corporate real estate manager, operations officer and consultant with activities including land acquisition and site development, office, retail, industrial and second home, resort properties in the Caribbean, Latin America and the United States. Carlos also spearheaded the launch of our new commercial information exchange—My Florida Commercial Real Estate.

Melody Hall received her award at the West Volusia Association of REALTORS® on December 4, 2009. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for MFRMLS, Melody has served on numerous committees for WVAR—the Awards Committee, the Professional Development Committee, the Professional Standards Committee and WVAR's Board of Directors. In the community, Melody served as President of the Junior Service League and the Main Street Deland Association. Currently she serves as a Co-Council Director of "Girls on the Run" for Volusia County, an international program to assist the development and well-being of elementary aged school girls. Melody is also a recipient of NAR's "Good Neighbor Award."

We are grateful for the countless hours of service and leadership given by Carlos and Melody to MFRMLS, their local boards and the community at large. They have worked tirelessly and deserve their moment in the sun. Congratulations Carlos and Melody, thank you for your dedication and commitment to excellence.
